Too thick glass has the following problems:
1. It is difficult to achieve complete tempering
The glass with a thickness of more than 10mm is difficult for some small-brand shower room manufacturers to be completely toughened, and there is glass breakage and shower safety hazards.
2. Poor thermal conductivity
One of the main reasons for the spontaneous explosion of the shower room is uneven heat dissipation in various places. The thicker the glass, the greater the probability of glass bursting.
3. Increase the pressure on hardware accessories
As the thickness of the glass increases, the weight is proportional, and the pressure on the frame and hardware accessories also increases. If the strength and load-bearing performance of the frame and hardware accessories are not improved accordingly, the service life will be greatly reduced.
Therefore, the most suitable thickness of shower room glass is 6mm-8mm.
